If you talk to Curtis, he will tell you his talent is seeing through the clutter, getting right to the issue and finding a solution. He truly has a passion for his work, and helping clients reach their goals.
With degrees in fine art and marketing, Curtis is a self-taught graphic designer- hearkening back to the days of Apple's Mac II (250MB storage and 4MB RAM). Curtis is obsessed with branding and always studying industry movement , analyzing consumer trends, and keeping current with whatever may be moving people's decision making.
Curtis opened Newton Marketing, Inc in 1997 in the basement of his Lakewood home. After several years working for local and national advertising agencies, Curtis thought he could service customers better with an interactive-client approach that didn't exist in those days.
While building his book of business, Curtis was Director of Marketing for an international manufacturing and distribution company for more than 14 years.
Today, under Curtis' leadership, Newton GRAVITY Marketing is an established, award-winning creative branding, communications, and design firm. Curtis' creative and branding efforts can be seen across the country and the world on grocery store shelves, supply company catalogs, local, national, and world sporting events, and professional, collegiate, and Olympic sports teams.
Prior to his marketing career, Curtis was a proud member of the US Army's 82d Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC.
When not in the office, Curtis is likely found outdoors or in the mountains, hiking, backpacking, skiing, canoeing, or just listening to the wind.
Along with his client work, Curtis donates his time, talent and resources to charitable organizations including Huntington's Disease Society of America, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the City Mission, American Cancer Society, and Boy Scouts of America.
